Creative Language Teaching is a blog for all ELT / ESL teachers interested in making their lessons far from being ordinary. Having in mind that not every lesson can be conducted entirely that way, I firmly believe the creative approach towards language teaching has vast potential to offer. Once you understand that education means inspiration, you will become interested in making your students inspired. And this is what this blog is about - being inspired and making others inspired as well.
The lesson is about using Present Continous and making short, one second videos.
Students they are going to watch a short film in which there
are 60 clips each lasting one second. Ask them to identify as many of the moments as they can using the present
continuous tense
1) The Beauty of a Second - 1st round compilation
2) The Beauty of a Second - 2nd round compilation
3) The Beauty of a Second - 3rd round compilation
Show your students 'Best One Second' winner Jan Herms - Monumental Night with Moving Stars
Encourage your students to make their own video. “The Beauty of a Second” is a short film contest presented by award-winning director Wim Wenders. The contest is open to everyone: from amateurs to professionals. Everybody can become a filmmaker. Everyone has a story to tell, so get filming!
